A super-sporty spirit, an incredibly stylish design, large volumes, refined and customizable interiors, state-of-the-art technologies including a planing maxi yacht like the Custom Line 108’ can proudly boast all this. Above all, however, it can boast a forward-thinking and contemporary sea-life concept.

It is not by chance that this extraordinary new model is being presented at the two most internationally renowned and prestigious events: as a preview in Monaco, in early September, during the private event reserved to Ferretti Group’s clients, and then officially to the public at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2015.

The 108’s is heir to one of the most successful crafts ever built by Custom Line - a brand specializing in the production of fiberglass yachts between 28 and 38 meters in length, divided in two lines, planing and semi-displacement - and skillfully blends together unmatched elegance, style, and a very sporty character.

“On the eve of its 'first' 20th anniversary, Custom Line is going through an extraordinary evolution phase and recording great commercial results” - states Ferretti Group’s Chief Executive Officer Alberto Galassi. “This new 108-footer is a perfect example of this, with four hulls already sold even before its official debut: the first two in Europe, while the third and the fourth will reach the American continent in 2016. Such an outstanding result confirms and supports the design choices made for this super yacht. A real jewel of the sea, stylish and high-performing: a combination that is the pure embodiment of Custom Line's DNA."

The Custom Line 108’ - the outcome of the cooperation between Ferretti Group's Engineering Department and Studio Zuccon International Project - immediately captures the viewer’s attention thanks to its streamlined, slender, rational, and flawlessly-balanced lines. Its profile is dominated by the design of the superstructure and the glazing, whose visual impact is further enhanced by the glazed surface at the height of the raised pilot station. The large glazing of the wide-body master stateroom is truly charming, as it looks like the tip of an arrow, highlighting the maxi yacht’s sporty character and offering a breathtaking view, besides ensuring unprecedented interior brightness. The hull windows of the four VIP cabins, in turn, stand out for their original rectangular shape; they are approximately 1.70 sq. meters large, have no fiberglass frame and are completed by a flush glued double porthole, an exclusive solution by Amare Group for the Ferretti Group. The design of the hull's aft area has been harmonized with that of the flybridge tail, maintaining the same inclination and adding a final touch to the yacht's overall profile.

The Custom Line 108’ also stands out for the style of its interiors, which embody a ‘noble’ luxury, made up of elegant finishes and original décor contrasts and are further enhanced by exclusive furniture and the utmost care for the tiniest details. The LED lighting systems are also extremely sophisticated, and become themselves precious structural and architectural design elements. Spotlights specifically conceived for this model have been built into the ceiling panel structure. Light also defines the contours of the furniture through backlit bands, as is the case of the large wall panel in the fore part of the main deck salon, with the band continuing into the ceiling panel, thereby ‘framing’ the entire dining area.
Refined sophistication shines through the tiniest details including the lighting and curtains controls that have been developed in cooperation with PLH Italia designers, a young company that has designed and Custom Line-branded its 'Slim’ steel-plated plates line specifically for this yacht.

AFT AREA AND COCKPIT
The revolutionary Dual Mode Transom (DMT) electro-hydraulic system - a Ferretti Group patent, allowing to open the garage door both upwards and downwards - has been installed in the aft area. This by-now well-known innovation, which stems from the cooperation between the Group’s Engineering Department and its technological partners, Centro Stile and Besenzoni, integrates into one single system a float-in garage capable of hosting an over 5-meter-long tender and a jet ski; a swimming platform that lowers into the water; and an almost 15 sq. m. beach club.

Stepping onboard, the cockpit immediately strikes for its spaciousness. It is dominated by a large sunbathing area in Manutti technical fabric, where the sofa can be converted into a chaise longue (facing aft or forward) and further into a sun pad, allowing guests to enjoy beach life together at the beach club. The central steel and wood table and the eight seats by Roda complete this area. The staircase leading to the flybridge is located starboard, while to port, at the beginning of the walkway, access can be gained to the engine room.

MAIN DECK INTERIORS
Walking in through the glazed door, the large salon is accessed, characterized by a refined color contrast that highlights its elegant style: the dark oak wood of the furniture is combined with the bleached oak of the floors and the many ivory-shade leather and Nubuck inserts, by Penelopeoggi, found in the curtain compartments (which comes in a silver shade and is supplied by Dedar) and in the sliding TV screen frame.
The open space is arranged as a living followed by the dining, as well as a cocktail area near the entrance on starboard, furnished with a low cabinet with a bottle rack/refrigerator, an icemaker, and a sliding top with a sink. Another cabinet with shelves, to be used as a small cellar or as bookshelves, is concealed by the TV screen, which can slide forward to face the living.
The latter is furnished with a custom made C-shaped sofa and a marble-top coffee table supplied by Poliform. The Owner has chosen to complete the area with a large Floor to Heaven carpet and a table-lamp by Fontana Arte, while to starboard, beyond the full-height glazing, is a stool by Minotti. The glazing works as a sliding door that opens up onto the outdoor walkway, near a tilting gunwale that, once lowered, creates a charming terrace on the sea.
The dining is dominated by a steel and glass table supplied by Gallotti&Radice, surrounded by ten ‘Fitzgerald’ by Poltrona Frau leather chairs. In front of the dining, which is framed by a luminous grid panel specifically created for this yacht, stands a low cabinet to store plates and glassware.

The central part of the deck divides from the master stateroom and the service areas. On the port side is the large galley by Ernestomeda, equipped with Miele appliances, and dominated by a large light-shade quartz worktop. From here, access can be gained to the crew quarters. The galley can also be reached from the outside, while on the starboard side access is gained to the lobby and, from there, to the pilot station (up) or to the guest cabins, on the lower deck.

Walking forward after the day head, the wide-body master stateroom is accessed, which is incredibly bright thanks to the huge glazing that continues all the way to the head, located at the extreme bow. Beyond a large vanity area stands the double bed, embraced by a warm, cream-shade Nubuck frame that can be found in the central part of the ceiling panel, in the headboard, and in the totem housing the TV screen, as well as in the bed band and the tops of the side tables.
A small lounge lies to starboard, besides the bed, furnished with two Nubuck seats and a coffee table, all by Minotti. On the left a desk allows to sit while enjoying a magnificent view on the sea. The Owner has decided to further enrich the décor with plaids by Molteni Home, which highlight the concept of a true ‘private haven’. Left to the bed, a door leads into the large walk-in wardrobe, while to starboard access is gained to the head, divided into three different sections and featuring extremely stylish fittings and furniture. Marble is the dominating material, but is also skillfully combined with wood. Light ‘Botticino’ marble has been used for the washbasin supports and the wall central inserts, while the two washbasins and the shower floor are in 'Portoro' marble, dark with bronze streaks. Taps by Signorini Design add the final touch to the bathroom décor.

LOWER DECK
Walking down the light oak wood steps, access is gained to the large octagonal lobby, featuring a wonderful mirroring front wall. The below-deck guest area includes two double vip at the stern and two twin cabins at the bow: these are all real suites at the sea level, all with private head and separate shower, and lit by plenty of natural light thanks to the large columnfree windows. The two aft cabins are furnished with a desk/vanity set with a custom made stool, standing opposite the bed, under the wall where the TV screen is installed, and can rely on a large walk-in wardrobe. The two forward cabins, with twin beds, also include a vanity set with a custom made seat.
Very refined soft-décor solutions have been chosen by the Group’s designers to make these cabins even more welcoming and elegant including cushions, plaids, and bedspreads in each cabin are by Molteni Home, while the exclusive Flos reading lamps are by Philippe Starck.

The crew quarters are very comfortable. They are located at the extreme bow and accessible via a dinette /galley. Opposite is the captain’s cabin, with private head and separate shower. The four crew cabins have available two ensuite cabins with bunk beds. The technical areas include a large engine room and, thanks to the new design of the garage, a spacious area starboard of the tender basin, where a three-seat jet-ski can be stored and lowered directly into the float-in garage using a lift installed in the ceiling panel.

FLYBRIDGE, PILOT STATION, AND FORWARD AREA
The flybridge, comparable to those found on mega yachts, extends uninterruptedly across a 36 sq. m. area entirely customizable by the Owner. At the extreme bow, on the left-hand side, is the second pilot station, access to which can be gained through the sliding hatch located behind the raised pilot house. The co-pilot seat is on the right-hand side. The outdoor dining area, sheltered by a slender hard-top with sliding Bimini top, is furnished with a large C-shaped sofa and two steel and wood tables that can be joined together, if needed. Opposite is the cocktail bar, equipped with a sink, a bottle rack/refrigerator, an icemaker, and a glass top where refreshing cocktails can be offered to the guests, seated on the three stools. The remaining part of the deck is an amazingly huge relaxation area furnished with three chaises longues and a round rotating sofa with a coffee table, by B&B Outdoor Italia. The aft part of the deck, which has been freed up from the davit (installed upon request) to make room for an additional water toy, offers a breathtaking view, also thanks to the lowering of the gunwale, which opens up the view onto the cockpit and the beach club below. The main pilot station is fitted with state-of-the-art instrumentation that the captain can easily manage from the central leather seat by Penelopeoggi, which would by no means be out of place on a large vessel. Furniture is completed by a leather sofa and a table, on the left, as well as numerous peaks where documentation can be safely stored.
The forward outdoor areas allow for relaxation in the utmost privacy, thanks to a double sun pad on the deckhouse and the dinette, completed by two L-shaped sofas and two coffee tables that can be joined together.

THE ‘VOTIS’ ONBOARD INFOTAINMENT SOFTWARE
Just like all the most recent models, the Custom Line 108’ too is equipped with the innovative ‘VOTIS’(Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System) software. Thanks to the cooperation between the Engineering Department and Videoworks - one of the Group's leading technological partners - the entertainment software installed in the main deck salon can be managed from an iPad, thereby replacing the remote controls of the various devices with one single control point.
This technological solution takes onboard entertainment to unprecedented levels, as the system can now be controlled from any and all areas onboard the yacht, as well as be integrated with the Owner’s personal devices. Additional optional functions may also be installed after building, allowing to verify the yacht's correct operation, display the pictures recorded by the CCTV and the crew coordination system on all devices and in each cabin, as well as communicate between the shipyard and the Owner. The software also makes it possible to use the digital libraries contained in the central server, surf the Internet, and - thanks to the AirPlay technology - share audio/video contents in the individual rooms in streaming, using a Wi-Fi connection. Depending on one’s preferences, it will thus be possible to listen to music while someone else is watching videos and movies, in a completely independent way, or share the same contents in several different areas, and even throughout the yacht, thanks to the Party mode.

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE
The Custom Line 108’ comes with two MTU 16V 2000 M94, 2638 mhp engines that allow it to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots, ensuring a range of 350 and 430 nautical miles, respectively. The yacht will also ensure better use of fuel consumption: its range at the economic cruising speed of 12 knots can indeed reach 1,000 nautical miles (preliminary data). Great care has been devoted to easy mooring, thanks to the electro-hydraulic stabilizing fins with underway and zero-speed functions, which come standard on this yacht. A pair of gyroscopic stabilizers, ensuring increased comfort, can also be installed upon request.
