THE TWO “NORTH AMERICA PREMIÈRES” AT THE MIAMI YACHT & BROKERAGE BOAT SHOW 2015
FERRETTI YACHTS 650
This model, which was presented for the first time at the 2014 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, is the forerunner of a series of models which will set the aesthetic rules of the “Yachts” line under 70 feet. The Ferretti Yachts 650 immediately strikes the eye for its truly distinctive profile. Its outer silhouette is characterized by a flybridge equipped with an aerodynamic hard top and new fiberglass decorative elements that “cut” through the profile of the glazing in the superstructure. An unprecedented decoration connects the windows of the three cabins below deck, providing the craft an even more captivating look.
Its slender lines are further enhanced by the yacht’s aft area, specifically designed to ensure easy and safe tender handling and increase the guests' on board comfort. A tender lift, which can lodge an over 9 feet tender and be lowered by 3 feet with respect to its original position, has been installed on the yacht to handle the tender without any davit. It allows a comfortable access to the sea, also thanks to some built-in steps.
The main deck is an extremely functional open space. The galley, which is open on all sides, allows using this space as al large bar area open to the bow and facing the dining and living areas, enhancing the sense of comfort and conviviality for guests.
The under deck layout features three double cabins with separated heads. The Ferretti Yachts 650 is equipped with two Caterpillar engines, CAT C18, allowing the yacht to reach a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 30 knots. The optional engines (1150 mhp), in turn, can push the yacht to a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 33 knots.
PERSHING 70
The Pershing 70 marks a new breakaway from the past and a new step forward in Pershing's over thirty-year evolution. Its futuristic and imposing shapes are highlighted even more by the two large side wings that endow this yacht with a truly unmistakable look and even larger on-board space, to ensure the utmost comfort. At the same time, thanks to the technological equipment installed on-board the Pershing 70 surpasses its competitors having an equivalent size. A series of MOSFET electronic control units (a technology based on power transistors) has indeed been installed on-board, allowing to simplify the electrical system, reduce the number of on-board cables, and apply power electronics to the electrical system.
Moreover, a series of power boards allows to monitor and control the individual on-board systems, as well as to display on-board data, thereby making available an extremely advanced and easily expandable home automation system at a very competitive cost. The shipyard has indeed developed a number of optional system configurations, i.e. several ‘packages’ allowing the owner to choose one or more ‘custom solutions’ that can be adapted to suit specific on-board requirements or expanded with additional functions and ‘dedicated’ software applications, thanks to the assistance of Ferretti Group’s engineers.
If required, the home automation system can be integrated with the innovative audio/video interaction system VOTIS (Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System), the result of the cooperation between the Research & Development department and Videoworks, the Group’s technological partner. VOTIS allows to control the entertainment system installed on the main deck via an iPad, thereby replacing the various remote controls required for the different devices with one unit only. Upon request, the same control function can be extended to other areas on the yacht or installed on the Owner’s own devices.
