Shanghai, 9th April 2015 - For the eleventh year running, Ferretti Group is present at the China International Boat Show in Shanghai, from 9 to 12 April at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
At the 20th show, which is one of the most important events for the nautical industry in China, this year Ferretti Group will be presenting the famous Riva Iseo.
The 27-foot jewel of the Group's most representative brand actually made its début in Asia Pacific during the Shanghai boat show last year, after meeting with extraordinary success with the public and great reviews all over the world.
For Ferretti Group, the ambassador of Italian excellence, taking part in the 2015 China International Boat Show is a real turning point, marking the start of the second decade of its presence in mainland China.
Over these 11 years the Group has expanded its business hugely, developing a strong local presence through a large network of dealers and through the opening of numerous offices and showrooms.
"We have had a presence in China since 2004, the year that we made the choice to take part in the China International Boat Show in Shanghai for the first time. Since then we have continued to believe in this event, just as we have been investing for years in an increasingly stronger presence in mainland China” - stated Stefano de Vivo, Chief Commercial Officer of Ferretti Group. "For Ferretti Group, China currently represents one of the most important reference markets in terms of size and future possibilities for growth, an area that is constantly becoming more strategic for the pleasure craft industry and that could become the most important in Asia over coming years".
The Riva brand, in particular, will be the main feature at a meeting with the local media at the exclusive Group's showroom at the Mandarin Oriental Luxury Hotel in Pudong, where Ferretti Group will present the strategic lines for the growth and development of this brand over the coming years. Over the 2015-2017 period, the important investments in product research and development, made by its reference shareholder Weichai Group, will fund the launch of 11 new Riva models, to be manufactured in the historical Italian sites of Sarnico and la Spezia. Three of these will be presented in 2015: the 88' Florida and another two products whose names are still to be disclosed, which will be followed by 5 models in 2016 and another 3 in 2017.
The new Riva Superyachtsdivision is heading in the same direction, endorsing the decision by the historic brand to enter the 50-metre-plus super yacht segment, already being able to count on the order of the first example to be manufactured at the Group's production site in Ancona.
